Composition Story

In the hush of this bittersweet chamber jazz song, penned at twenty-seven for a love first felt at seventeen, I reminisce.

He, my inaugural audience, would listen intently. Through whispered phone calls, I'd nestle my device beside ivory keys, knowing the one who held my heart was on the receiving end. He once whispered,

"Moon, let music be your compass; with each note, you'll weave the tides of life in beauty and grace."

Those words, a lighthouse in my musical voyage, have echoed days and night, anchoring me back to that cherished luminous summer at the tender age of seventeen.

 

Through tears and whispers, I crafted a serenade to a love profound, a love that ignited, nurtured, and sculpted my essence as a romanticism.

Though our love never found its way to tangible shores, it shaped the contours of my musical and spiritual self.

To F, who has planted such an important seed called 'music' in my soul ...
